Grant Guidelines
Overview of Guidelines

The Kiani Foundation will consider grant requests that advance its mission and are from:

-
A nonprofit fund, foundation, or corporation which is organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes and which is recognized as a public charity exempt from tax under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3).
-
An international charity with a U.S. Certificate of Equivalency, or an international charity with an agreement to allow the Foundation to exercise expenditure responsibility as defined by Internal Revenue Code.

The Foundation will consider requests for both one-time and multi-year grants. Requests may be submitted throughout the year as there are no set deadlines.

The Foundation does not make grants to other private foundations, donor advised funds, or individuals. Individuals who want to apply for a grant should do so through the institution where they are conducting research. The Foundation will not sponsor charity, corporate, or sports events; nor will it purchase tickets or tables to fundraising events, or support political campaigns or lobbying efforts. Generally, the Foundation does not sponsor conferences.
